Paavo Ritala’s research won Best paper award

Professor Paavo Ritala from LUT School of Business and Management has, together with his colleagues, won the Information Processing & Management Best paper award 2018.

The study examined the skill requirements of Big data professions and was co-authored with Andrea De Mauro, Marco Greco and Michele Grimaldi. The study is particularly timely, as it reveals various emerging job roles that are perceived as important for companies that are seeking new employees to positions in analytics and data science.

The article "Human resources for Big Data professions: A systematic classification of job roles and required skill sets" was published in Information Processing & Management journal in September 2018. It can be read free online until the end of the 2019.
