Biography

Nasren Azad, a doctoral researcher in the Software Engineering department at LUT University since 2021, has made significant contributions to the field. Her PhD research is centered around DevOps success factors and organizational practices. Nasren's academic journey includes an MSc in Information Systems from Åbo Akademi, Turku, (2021) and a master’s degree in Business administration, specializing in Finance and Accounting, from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). Her diverse educational background has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Nasren's research has been widely recognized and published in esteemed journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Information and Software Technology, International Journal of Information and Learning Technology, and Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services. Her work has also been presented at renowned conferences including ECIS, ICSOB, Profes, IFIP, C&T, ICSE, and EASE, demonstrating her active involvement in the academic community. Nasren has been the recipient of several grants, including those from the  Åbo Akademi Foundation in 2013, the LUT Foundation International Research Visit grant in 2022, the PHP Quantum computing grant in 2023, and the Liikesivistysrahasto personal grant in 2022. She has also had the opportunity to share her knowledge through guest lectures at prestigious universities such as the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) Norway and the University of Jyväskylä, Finland in 2023 and 2024. Nasren's commitment to education is further demonstrated by her role as a teacher in charge of three courses for the Master`s degree program at LUT University and her experience as a project researcher for the EU Horizon project for 6 months.
