English proficiency for master's programmes

Language test result must be uploaded at the time of submitting your application, but 

 

Language test results are valid for

• two (2) years from the test date, and
• must remain valid for at least fifteen (15) days after the application has been submitted.
   

All language test results are verified electronically through the test organisation’s official database. Sharing the results electronically is not required for all tests.

The following test results can be verified once you have uploaded your result to your application:

• IELTS Academic
• TOEFL iBT

For the following tests, you must share your results electronically with the university to enable verification:

• PTE Academic
• Cambridge English: C1 Advanced
• Cambridge English: C2 Proficiency

Please ensure that you share your results through your personal test account.

You can demonstrate your English language proficiency with a higher education degree completed in English in one of the countries listed:

 

The language of instruction must be clearly stated in your educational documents.

Degrees completed in English at offshore campuses are also accepted, provided that the degree-awarding university is located in one of the countries listed above. 

You can demonstrate your English language proficiency with a higher education degree completed in Finnish or Swedish in Finland.

If you use the Bachelor's degree you are applying with to demonstrate your English language proficiency, the degree may be unfinished.

 

If you use a degree other than the Bachelor's degree you are applying with to demonstrate your English language proficiency, the degree must be completed, and you must have graduated by the time you submit your application.

If you are currently studying at LUT University as a degree student and have previously demonstrated your English language proficiency as part of your admission process, you may be able to use the same documents for this application.
