The 2026 DENIM-KATAJA Doctoral Colloquium invites doctoral students to apply for participation in the two-day colloquium event.
The colloquium will be hosted by LUT Business School, LUT University between 13-14 August, 2026 in the Lahti region.
This year's central theme explores "Marketing for a Sustainable and Responsible Future," emphasizing the role of marketing research in driving long-term positive impact.
The Doctoral Colloquium offers doctoral students in marketing to attend insightful sessions, ranging from keynote speeches to roundtable discussions on academic careers and research funding. More importantly, it provides a venue for doctoral researchers to present their ongoing work and receive constructive feedback from esteemed marketing academics and peers.
The colloquium is designed to foster a collaborative, supportive, and congenial environment. Attendees are expected to participate for the full duration of the two-day event to maximize opportunities for networking and scholarly discussion across the broad field of marketing.
We invite doctoral researchers at all stages of their dissertation journey to apply. To specifically encourage participation from beginning doctoral students, we welcome a variety of submission types. You may submit either a conference paper proposal or a simple research plan.
The colloquium will feature parallel tracks organized by the methodological and topical focus of the participants' research, as well as their current dissertation stage. While we welcome research spanning the broad spectrum of marketing, topics addressing sustainable and responsible future practices are highly encouraged.
Original contributions can include a basic research plan for your dissertation, an extended abstract of a planned project, or a draft of an article you intend to include in your dissertation. All submitted papers will be treated confidentially and made available only to the assigned faculty discussants.
