Who are you?
My name is Dr Andrew Worley and I am Senior R&D Director at Editron Danfoss.  I have a bachelors degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in electromagnetics from Leeds University in the UK (where I am originally from).  I have spent most of my career working on vehicle electrification, living and working in multiple locations around the world - including in Lappeenranta from September 2024.

What makes you curious?
I believe that everyday that I don't learn something new is a wasted day. The new things I learn could be large or small, could be about people or science or history or many other things. However, just learning new things is not enough, I also seek to understand as well.  That is what makes me curious - the desire to understand new things.

Your tip for thriving together with LUT University?
In order to thrive together with LUT University one has to be curious and respectful.  It is important to be able to identify ways in which we can combine all of our strengths in a way that takes all of us, and society in general, forwards in our learning and understanding.  A good example would be the joint research projects that we have between Danfoss and LUT University.  By combining knowledge and experience from both Danfoss and LUT University we are able to create new and better solutions and technologies.
