Train: 

The easiest way to reach Lappeenranta from Helsinki Vantaa Airport (HEL), or from the Helsinki city center is by train. 
A local commuter train leaves the airport every 10 minutes and connects to Tikkurila station, where you can change to the direct train to Lappeenranta. The train ride is about 2 hours long and there are several daily connections. You can buy one ticket from the airport, despite the transfer at Tikkurila station.

There are multiple daily direct train connections from Helsinki main railway station to Lappeenranta.

Shared taxi: 

If your flight arrives later than the last train leaving Helsinki (usually around 9 PM), you can order a shared taxi service from Taksi Saimaa to pick you up from the HEL airport and bring you to your accommodation in Lappeenranta. It is also available if your flight is in early morning and you won't reach it with the first train leaving Lappeenranta.

Bus route 5 operates from train station (Matkakeskus) via city center (Keskusta) 
to LUT Campus (Yliopisto). Travel time about 30 minutes.

Bus route 1 operates from city center (Keskusta) to LUT (Yliopisto).

The ticket can be bought from the driver by card (3,60 €).

Participants joining the Verla and Lahti tour on Saturday, can take the train from Lahti to Helsinki city center, or Helsinki Airport (approx. 1h). The tour will end to Lahti train station around 15:00, and there are trains departing at 15:19 (commuter train), and 15:49 (intercity train). Please see the schedule and buy your ticket here.
 

If your flight requires taking an earlier train from Lahti, please contact emmi.kemppainen@lut.fi to confirm the possibility to catch an earlier train.

When you first arrive to the campus on your first day, please visit the registration desk in the main lobby by the main entrance.

You will get your badge with your schedule (not including all the details, please see the schedule on this website as well).

You can leave your jacket and luggage to the cloackroom next to the registation desk.

The event info desk will serve you with any questions you may have throughout the event. It is located in the 3rd floor next to Street café.

There is a separate Wi-Fi for the event: TIME2025, it works throughout the campus without a password.

There is also eduroam available, if you prefer using that.

Smoking is only allowed in the designated areas on both sides a bit further from the main entrance.

Please note that the entrance will lock every day at 16:00, so please make sure to have someone to let you in, if you go outside after that!
