I've spent the last years making new technologies work in practice, and I've seen the friction software engineers and non-technical users hit when adopting something new. I want to share what I've learned: how to architect a system that holds up, how to smooth out developer workflows, how to build from zero.
Over the past year I've been building and running a fleet of supervised LM knowledge agents on my own infrastructure, using Hermes from Nous Research. That work puts you face to face with the unglamorous parts: reliability, security, privacy, concurrency, governance. I've hit most of the problems early adopters hit, and found ways through them. I want to show students what these systems look like when they actually run. My goal is to share what I've learned about building agentic systems that stay up, modern architectural practices, and where the field is actually going.
I can guide mentees through problem-solving, software design fundamentals, and how to break a complex project into a plan you can execute. I can also share what I know about the job market: building a technical portfolio, and what hiring managers actually look for.
I'm based in Germany and can work remotely across the EU. The programme's focus on student career readiness is clear, and that's what I'll show up for.
