Hello! My name is Daria. I am an LUT alumna, actually, LUT and I have a long-shared history there. I hold a doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from LUT University. Before that, I completed my master's degree in Supply Management with a minor in Sustainability.
My professional journey has taken me from researching sustainable warehouse management systems in academia to configuring and optimizing these systems in the world’s biggest logistics companies. I have also had the chance to publish academic articles, present my research at conferences, obtain research funding, and work on cross-functional university-industry projects. All of these have helped me expand and build my knowledge and expertise.
I would be glad to become a mentor for an early-stage doctoral student, as I have followed the same path and know the pitfalls and life hacks of the doctoral journey. I believe mentoring is about creating a safe environment where questions can be asked, knowledge can be shared, and support can be given. I understand the value of guidance in navigating the unknown. I want to help a mentee discover strengths, set achievable goals, and build confidence while exploring own path.
In my free time, I like cooking and experimenting with various recipes. I enjoy exploring new places and travelling. I hope to work with mentees who are curious and ready to make the most of their career. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities for building your own success story.
