We work together with the best possible international partners.
Our work and study environment is international, we have around 80 nationalities in our campuses and annually around 1/3 of LUT's incoming students are international. This is due to the 20 study programmes being taught in English and our wide partner university network. We recruit the top candidates internationally and almost 30% of research and education personnel are foreign nationals.
LUT has taken part in Erasmus+ activities, including Erasmus Mundus Joint Master degrees and mobility programmes, and in several other European and international projects. In addition, LUT has several Master and Doctoral level double-degree agreements with partner universities around the world.
We are an active partner in many projects from several European funding programmes such as Horizon2020, LIFE, COST, UIA, INTERREG and CBC. For example, in the current European framework programme Horizon2020 we have 19 successfully granted projects and we are actively looking for new partners and consortia in our areas of expertise.
LUT is a member in several international associations and networks in different thematics in education as well in research. LUT also has an office in Brussels. The aim of the office as well being a member in associations is to improve LUT's already existing networks and find new ones, increase visibility of LUT in international level, influence future framework programmes and along those, increase the external funding of LUT.
