Mathematics must be one of the following:

- analysis and approaches SL
- applications and interpretation HL
- further mathematics

- 6,00-6,99 in Physics and a Pass in Advanced Mathematics OR

- 7 in Physics and a Pass in Advanced Mathematics OR
- 7 in Chemistry and a Pass in Advanced Mathematics OR
- 7 in Advanced Mathematics
Requirements for Proficiency in English
You are required to prove your proficiency in English with one of the following methods.
- One of the following grade cases in Finnish Matriculation Examination, European Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate or Reifeprüfung:
- Finnish Matriculation Examination - English on advanced level with a minimum grade of M
- International Baccalaureate completed in English
- International Baccalaureate when the examination has not been completed in English
English as A1 language with an approved grade (minimum grade 2) OR
English as A2 language with a minimum grade 5 OR
English as A language (literature/language and literature/language and performance) with an accepted grade (minimum grade 2) OR
English as B language with a minimum grade 5
- European Baccalaureate:
English as L1 language with an accepted grade OR
English as L2 or L3 language with a minimum grade of 7
- Reifeprüfung:
English as A language (written exam) with an accepted grade (minimum grade 4) OR
English as A language (oral exam) with a minimum grade of 8
2. A degree completed in English at an institution of a higher level of education in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or the United States of America
3. A degree completed in English on the upper secondary level of education in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or the United States of America

5. SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 550
Your SAT score in the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section is at least 550. Please verify your results via College Board before applying, as only verified results are taken into account by LUT University.
- The section must be completed after 1 January 2021.
- Your results must be verified by College Board (see instructions below). College Board must submit the results to LUT directly.
- The results must be available when the application is being processed.
You are eligible to apply as undergraduate while studying on your final semester on the upper secondary level of education.
Applicants who have taken the Finnish Matriculation Examination do not need to submit any educational documents to LUT University, as the grades in the matriculation examination will be transferred to LUT University electronically.
When applying as undergraduate of IB, EB or RP/DIA education you are required to submit a Predicted Grades document to LUT University / Admissions Services by 6 April 2024 at 15:00 (UTC+3) by email (admission@lut.fi).
Please note that the scan of the final IB/EB grades must reach LUT University / Admissions Services by 14 July 2024 at 15:00 (UTC+3), e-mail admission@lut.fi
EXCEPTION: When applying as undergraduate of RP/DIA education the officially certified copy for the original DC and original ToR must reach LUT University / Admissions Services by 6 April 2024 at 15:00 (UTC+3) at the latest.
Applicants who fail to graduate and submit the required documents as requested will automatically lose their places without any exceptions.
