The Department of Software Engineering conducts research on the design, development, deployment, and societal impact of software and information systems. Our research is organized around four interconnected areas: software development and management, information systems and services, intelligent software systems, and software in society. Through our research, we develop knowledge, methods, and digital artefacts to create value for organizations, communities, and society. In line with LUT’s System Earth 2030 strategy, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable, human-centered, and resilient digital society.
