Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration
Completed in a University Kauppatieteiden kandidaatti
Having completed a Master of Science Degree in Economics and/or Business Administration or equivalent at the time of applying or, completing it before starting the LUT Master's studies makes you ineligible to apply.
Bachelor of Business Administration
Completed in a University of Applied Sciences Tradenomi (AMK)
Master of Business Administration
Completed in a University of Applied Sciences Tradenomi (YAMK)
Previous degree completed: Tradenomi (AMK) You must apply with the degree Tradenomi (AMK)
Previous degree completed: Bachelor's Degree (AMK) in a field other than Business Administration You must apply with the previous Bachelor's Degree (AMK) > Copy for the Degree Certificate for Tradenomi (YAMK) to be included in the application documents for getting exempted from taking a GMAT Exam or GRE General Test.

The Transcript of Records must include the name of the degree to be awarded.
If not included, an additional statement issued by the awarding university about the name of the degree must be uploaded to your Online Application Form.

Official translations required, if the original documents are not issued in English, Finnish or Swedish.
The documents must be provided according to the given instructions despite of the country the degree was awarded in.
If not being able to meet with both the requirements by the given deadlines, your right to study in the programme will automatically be cancelled and you will lose your place without a possibility to claim it back.
Before the academic evaluation begins, the admission committee checks the programme-specific requirements and the applicants meeting the requirements will move forward to academic evaluation, which is done in two subsequent stages.
Stage 1: Educational background
The applicant's educational background will be evaluated based on the required information given on the application form and the required application documents.
Stage 2: Interview
A limited number of applicants are invited to an interview and the final selection will be completed among the interviewed applicants based on

Arithmetic GPA for the degree you must apply with:
3.00 - 3.74 = 5.25 points
3.75 - 5.00 = 8.75 points
The GPA considered in the LUT selection process is an arithmetic average of all individual study records included in the degree and graded with numbers, including the Final Thesis and excluding the grades for all the fails. The considered GPA includes two decimals.
Your GPA will be converted on a scale of 1.00 - 5.00 during the evaluation process when the original scale having been a different one.

Studies in Mathematics, Information Technology, Information Processing, Statistics, Operations Research and Management Science relevant to the programme:
0-24 ECTS credits = 0 points
25-34 ECTS credits = 3 points
35-50 ECTS credits = 5 points
51-70 ECTS credits = 7 points
71- ECTS credits = 10 points
You are responsible for converting, calculating and presenting the required and completed studies in ECTS credits on your application form listed by disciplines and courses according to the following:
1 ECTS credit = a workload of 27 hours (lectures, assignments etc.)
NOTE: You must list your courses in English on your application form - also whenever they have been completed in Finnish - plus, upload an official Transcript of Records in English for your studies.
The names of the courses you list in English on the application form must be identical with the names of the courses on the Transcript of Records in English.
