LUT University offers Open University studies free of charge until December 31, 2023, to persons who have been granted temporary protection by the Finnish Immigration Service.

There are a limited amount of places available for each course. The places are allocated on a first come first serve basis.
There are four teaching periods during the academic year and each one of them has its own enrollment period.

Climate action MOOC courses
Unlike other Open University courses, you can start the LUT MOOC courses immediately after sign-up and you can complete them independently at a time that suits you. LUT MOOC courses are free of charge for everyone, so you don't need to prove your temporary protection status to sign up.
There are currently three MOOC courses available:
- Climate Action – Solutions for Carbon Neutral Transport 2 ECTS
- Climate Action – Power-to-X 2 ECTS
- Climate Action – Sustainable Design and Production 2 ECTS
