The theses and dissertations of LUT University are located in the LUTPub repository. The openly available theses of LAB University of Applied Sciences and its predecessors (Lahti University of Applied Sciences and Saimaa University of Applied Sciences) are located in Theseus and thesis in restricted collection are accessible in LUT Academic library locations during service hours. Theses are searchable in LUT Primo and LAB Primo.

Help with searching and evaluating information is available in Library guides, including information retrieval guides and guides for using Primo, e-books and standards and patents.

In addition, you can book an appointment for a personal information retrieval guidance or attend to a monthly group guidance session.


Thesis instructions and Citing

Follow the instructions given in eLUT or eLAB or other guidance provided by your thesis supervisor. You can ask the library staff for help with using different citation management softwares.

When the thesis is completed


A thesis is always a public document,  available to all interested readers (Act on the Openness of Government Activities 21.5.1999/621). A thesis is available either openly from the Internet or upon request from the university. The metadata and summary of the thesis are always public.
