Towards a sustainable future
Sustainability research forms an important and multidisciplinary area of basic and applied research at the university as part of the LUT School of Energy Systems.
The competence of the degree program always extends from the natural sciences to the social sciences and legislation, in terms of technology and economics.
As the population grows and various raw materials become scarcer, people will have to cope with lower consumption of natural resources and energy in the future. Managing the balance between nature and man is a challenging task, offering immeasurable opportunities to explore new solutions for a better future.
LUT's Bachelor of Environmental Engineering and Master of Environmental Engineering degree programs are internationally accredited degree programs and have been awarded the EUR-ACE and ASIIN quality marks. Thirty diploma theses are done annually on environmental technology.
