Halyna Butovych, Master of Science, will defend her doctoral dissertation in the field of Physics 3 October at noon. Her dissertation is titled Computer simulations of polymer-enzyme complexes and chelate structures of heavy metal ions. Place of the public examination: Yukhnovskii Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Lviv, Ukraine, and online.
The opponents will be Doctor of Science Sergiy Perepelytsya from Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and Professor Barbara Hribar-Lee from Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Professor Erkki Lähderanta of LUT University will act as LUT representative (custos).
The dissertation was written and jointly supervised under a double PhD program between Yukhnovskii Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT, Finland. Ukraine supervisor was Doctor of Science Taras Patsahan from the Department of Soft Matter Theory.
