When applying to our international Master's Programmes, you must prove your proficiency in English language with one of the three following methods: 

  • An accepted language test result
  • Degree completed in English in specifically listed countries
  • Degree completed in Finnish or Swedish in Finland
     

Any other certificates for the proficiency in English or statements for the medium of instruction having been English are not accepted.  

You must be able to prove your proficiency in English by uploading the required test result or the required document to your application form by the supplementary deadline for the application period you are applying through.

 

Accepted language test results

You can prove your proficiency in English language with one of the following language test results with at least the minimum score mentioned:

IELTS Academic - 6.5

  • IELTS Online and IELTS Academic for UKVI also accepted.
  • IELTS One Skill Retake accepted as long as all the individual scores being valid

TOEFL iBT - 90

  • TOEFL iBT Home Edition and TOEFL iBT Enhancements also accepted.
  • MyBest Scores accepted as long as all the individual scores being valid.

PTE Academic - 62

  • PTE Academic Online also accepted.

Cambridge English: C1 Advanced - Pass on levels A, B or C 
 

Cambridge English:  C2 Proficiency - Pass on levels A, B or C or level C1 Certificate


Note: When applying to programmes in Business Administration through Early Admission without GMAT Exam, GMAT Focus Edition or GRE General Test, higher minimum scores are required in certain cases.

Deadlines for language test results

Your test result will always be electronically verified from the test organisation's database.

The IELTS and the TOEFL test results can be verified from the related database without any further actions from you when you have uploaded your test result to your application form.

The PTE Academic and the Cambrigde test results further actions from you are required for us to be able to verify your result.

 

Validity for language test results

Your test result must be valid as follows: 

  • Early Admission: 30 November 2025
    • Test dates on 30 November 2023 and after are valid for verification.
  • Regular Admission: 28 February 2026
    • Test dates on 28 February 2024 and after are valid for verification.
       

Verification for language test results

Your test result will always be electronically verified from the test organisation's database.

The IELTS and the TOEFL test results can be verified from the related database without any further actions from you when you have uploaded your test result to your application form.

The Cambrigde test results require further actions from you so that we are able to verify your result. Make sure you share your test results with us from your personal test site.

Degree completed in English in certain countries 

You can prove your proficiency in English language with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree completed in English in one of the following: 

  • an EU/EEA country  
  • Australia  
  • Canada  
  • Ireland  
  • New Zealand  
  • Switzerland  
  • United Kingdom  
  • United States of America

The fact that the language of instruction was English must be clearly indicated on the educational documents.

Degrees completed in English on offshore campuses are accepted if the main university located in one of the countries listed.

If applying with an unfinished Bachelor's Degree, you can prove your proficiency in English with that same unfinished degree.

In case of proving your proficiency in English language with another degree apart from the one you are applying with, you must have completed that degree and graduated by the application deadline (Regular Admission) or at the time of applying (Early Admission).

 

Degree completed in Finnish or Swedish in Finland

You can prove your proficiency in English language with a degree of higher education i.e. at least a Bachelor's degree completed

  • in Finnish or Swedish in a Finnish University or a University of Applied Sciences

If applying with an unfinished Bachelor's Degree, you are able to prove your proficiency in English language with that same unfinished degree.

In case of proving your proficiency in English language with another degree apart from the one your are applying with, you must have completed that degree and graduated by the application deadline.
