The project tackles three key challenges: improving flood preparedness through advanced monitoring systems that enable real-time data and timely interventions; reducing polluted stormwater discharges to enhance environmental quality and public health; and increasing community engagement via participatory tools that empower citizens and schools. Transnational cooperation ensures scalable, sustainable solutions that strengthen resilience across the Baltic Sea Region.
Goals
BALTFLOODS aims to enhance flood preparedness and mitigate runoff pollution in cities across the Baltic Sea region by leveraging digital and technological solutions and engaging citizens as key stakeholders.
