How to Apply?

Application Form

1.    Fill in the application form online at StudyInfo
2.    Upload the required documents
3.    Submit the application

No hard copies to be mailed to LUT Admissions Services. NOTE: when applying as undergraduate, please see further information at Applying as Undergraduate.

The application form is available only during the application period of January 8 – 22, 2020 at 15:00 (UTC+2).

All correspondence concerning your application will be sent by e-mail plus, the possible Letter of Admission will also be sent to the e-mail address given in the application form.

If admitted, the Arrival Instructions will be sent to you by mail only – so kindly fill in your complete and correct mailing address to your application form and in case of any changes before starting your studies, kindly let us know at admission@lut.fi .

Required Documents

After filling in your application form, you need to upload all the required documents to your online application.

  •    Certified copy of the certificate of Upper Secondary Education
    + an official translation in English (if applicable)
  •    Certified copy of the Transcript of Records
    + an official translation in English (if applicable)
      All the courses completed during the Upper Secondary Education have to be listed on the ToR
  •    Language Test Certificate (applicants not applying with a SAT Test)
  •    Results for the SAT Test (applicants applying with a SAT Test)
  •    Copy of Your Passport (id page)
  •    Copy of Your Finnish Residence Permit Card (if applicable)

Required when applying for being exempted for paying the tuition fee on the basis on the status on your Finnish RP Card.

The copies of the secondary school leaving certificate, transcript of records and their translations into English must be certified by a notary public, the Finnish Embassy/Consulate in your home country or the institution that issued the original document with an institutional stamp on the documents.

If the original document is not in Finnish, Swedish or English, it needs to be translated into one of the above mentioned languages either by the authority that issued the original document or by an official translator and certified.

Applicants who wish to apply during their last semester of upper secondary education have to submit a document issued by their school that indicates the qualification that the applicant is about to complete and the expected date of graduation.

Presenting the Original Degree Certificate at LUT University

Be prepared to present your original Degree Certificate in the beginning of your studies at LUT University.
This is the final part of your admission; not presenting the required document or presenting a document that was involved in any kind of forgery will lead into revoking your study right at LUT University.
