Bachelor's Studies

At LUT University, you can choose from a total of five technology Bachelor's programmes in English: four double degree programmes and one regular degree programme.

The duration of each Bachelor's programme is three years, amounting to 180 ECTS credits and leading to a Bachelor of Science in Technology, M.Sc. (Tech.), degree in the field in question. Students selected to the Bachelor's programmes have an automatic right to continue their studies at the Master's level and thus complete a Master of Science degree in their field at LUT.

The next application period to start the studies in autumn 2021 is 7 − 20 January 2021.

Bachelor's programmes in Finnish

LUT also offers Bachelor's studies in Finnish in the field of business administration and eight fields in technology. The average duration of the Bachelor's programmes is three years, amounting to 180 ECTS credits and leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in the field in question.

Information on the eligibility and admission criteria and entrance examinations for Bachelor's programmes is provided in Finnish on LUT's Finnish admission pages.

Students with a foreign secondary degree providing eligibility for similar studies in the country in question are also eligible. In addition, applicants to Bachelor's programmes in the field of technology are required to present a language test certificate as proof of their Finnish language skills (the required proficiency level is 4).

For more information about language testing, please see the web site of the Finnish National Board of Education. Applicants to Bachelor's programmes in the field of business administration are required to take an entrance examination in Finnish (the required literature is also in Finnish).

Students selected to the Bachelor's programmes have an automatic right to continue their studies at the Master's level and thus complete a Master of Science degree in their field at LUT.
