Biography


I am a Clinical Psychologist with another master’s degree in digital social sciences and am interested in Disinformation and how people are influenced by it. I work as a Project Researcher at the Disinformation, Propaganda & Soft Power Research Lab (DPS-Lab) within the Department of Social Science at the School of Engineering Science. I worked on the Bio-Nord Project https://www.fhi.no/en/nva-projects/ongoing/bio-nord/, which is about enhancing resilience against biological threats in the Nordic and Baltic countries (BIO-NORD)

I have completed a Master's in Digital Social Sciences at LUT University in Lappeenranta, Finland, with a focus on Digitalization and its impact on employees' well-being. Previously, I completed my master's in Clinical Psychology from UMT, Lahore, Pakistan, which was focused on the life stressors, emotional issues, and eating problems in peptic ulcer patients and Bachelors in Psychology. My work bridges social sciences, digitalization, human behavior, and psychological well-being.

Previously, I worked as a Research Assistant in the Energy and Society Department at LUT University, Lappeenranta, where I conducted interviews and qualitative analysis. I have also worked as a project researcher at the Urban Research and Statistical Unit, Helsinki, where I conducted a literature review and quantitative analysis. In addition, I engaged in research collaboration with the University of Limerick, Ireland, where I worked on meta-analysis.

Alongside my research work, I have experience in Clinical Psychology as well as in teaching and academic support. I have served as a Teaching Assistant at LUT University. Before this, I worked as a Lecturer and Thesis Supervisor at Iqra Girls College, Sargodha, Pakistan, where I taught undergraduate psychology courses and supervised student theses. I also served as a Visiting Lecturer at Foundation Medical College, Islamabad, and Foundation University Rawalpindi, Pakistan, where I taught psychology courses, evaluated academic work, and supported student mentoring and departmental activities.

Methodological Skills: Qualitative interviews, Qualitative analysis, Quantitative analysis, Scale development, Psychological Quantitative Data, Cross-cultural data collection.
