Md Kabir

Md Kabir is a Junior Researcher in Mechanical Engineering at LUT University and a member of the Mechanics of Advanced Composites (MAC) research group. His doctoral research focuses on fibre-reinforced composites and hybrid structures, with particular emphasis on advanced manufacturing and X-ray computed tomography (XCT) based microstructure analysis.

His work involves developing reproducible workflows for XCT data processing, microstructure segmentation, and porosity and defect quantification, applying deep learning methods to link microstructural features to design and performance relevant insights.

Md Kabir holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from IUBAT, Bangladesh, and an MSc in Materials Science and Technology from LUT University, Finland, completed with distinction.

He welcomes collaboration on XCT based analysis, segmentation, dataset curation, and scientific visualization.
