The perks of playful minds and game design for innovative, interdisciplinary and co-creating teams: Building and mastering radical and transformative projects in and outside of academia.

In a world where technology and biology increasingly intersect, Dr. Lina Sors Emilsson stands out by combining her knowledge in neurobiology, technology, human-focused game design and project management to facilitate innovative, learning and transformative projects.

With a scientific background in psychiatric genetics and neurobiology, Dr. Emilsson spent years exploring the intricacies of molecular and cellular cognition. Her research focused on understanding how the brain's building blocks interact to create memories and learning as well as identifying core biological drivers behind different cognitive and emotional behaviours.

In recent years, she has taken her expertise to many fields, including technology transfer, product development, business creation and neurorehabilitation. She is passionate about advanced technologies, and how they can meet biology and make a difference in people's lives. This includes robots, AI systems, and biosensors in combination with game design for playfulness in innovation, education and transformation.

With her keen understanding of the playful mind and her ability to communicate complex scientific concepts in a way that is both accessible and engaging, Dr. Sors Emilsson is a talent to learn from. She brings a level of energy and enthusiasm to all her projects, whether moderating an event, building communities, teaching or leading creative projects in and outside of academia. Today Dr. Sors Emilsson works in an interdisciplinary research area and professional field of game design that has the potential to change how we think about sustainable development and the future of project management, and leadership, as well as education and neurorehabilitation.
