Her visit, funded by the PHP Säätiö from Lahti, Finland, focused on research examining the role of artificial intelligence in B2B sales. In this webcast, Pia will share key insights derived from her research visit. She is joined by her co-author colleague, Dr. Johannes Habel, who will contribute perspectives from his extensive research on AI in sales.

Pia Hautamäki is an Assistant Professor at LUT University. She recently spent two months in the United States as a visiting researcher at Texas A&M University, where she collaborated closely with leading international scholars on cutting-edge research related to artificial intelligence in B2B sales. Her research on digital transformation and sales has been published in leading academic journals, including Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management.

Dr. Johannes Habel is an Associate Professor at the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business. He is a core faculty member in the Marketing Department and is widely recognized for his influential research and teaching at the intersection of sales, artificial intelligence, and marketing. His work has been published in top-tier journals such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Retailing.
