Biography

Shahria Arifin is a mechanical engineer and researcher currently working as a Junior Researcher at LUT University’s Laboratory of Intelligent Machines. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from LUT University and a Bachelor’s degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

He is currently working on SHEREC project as a doctoral researcher. Mr Arifin’s research interests are machine learning, reinforcement learning and application of AI automation in the field of mechanical engineering. His research background and technical expertise include multibody dynamics, vibration analysis, control engineering, robotic system kinematics, and structural modal analysis.

Mr Arifin’s master’s thesis, conducted in collaboration with an industrial partner, focused on the usability of hydrophones as contact microphones for vibration measurement on steel structures.
