The AAWE project develops the next generation of alkaline electrolyzer from an electrical perspective. With this device concept, it is possible to reduce the costs of hydrogen production and thus promote the green transition. The electrolyzer concept is based on LUT's previous research work, which is leveraged in the design of the device.
Goals
The main goal of the project is to create business related to the manufacturing of alkaline water electrolyzers in Finland. During the project, a market and competitor analysis will be carried out, models and simulations necessary for the design of electrolyzers will be developed, and a laboratory-scale proof-of-concept device will be built to verify the functionality of the concept.
