The research project seeks to understand how the rise of AI and digitalization are rapidly transforming work and skill demands and how this impacts the labour market position of migrant workers in Finland. We are interested in understanding how the inclusion of migrant workers can be supported through improved DEI practices, reskilling, inclusion and integration. TAIMI focuses on sectors (IT, care, on demand transportation) where labour shortages and digital transformation are most acute, and where migrant integration can have the greatest impact.
Goals
The project seeks to find ways on how to ensure improved inclusion of migrants and how to improve integration and retention policies.
