The project produces the first comprehensive overview of green electrification growth companies, innovation ecosystem services, and international best practices, and develops a regional roadmap for strengthening the innovation ecosystem in South Karelia. The aim is to support SMEs and startups in value chains, clarify pathways from research to commercialization, and enhance regional cooperation and investment opportunities in the green transition.

Goals

The aim of the project is to strengthen the green electrification innovation ecosystem in Finland, particularly in South Karelia, by producing an up-to-date situational overview of growth companies, innovation ecosystem services, and international best practices in the field. In addition, the project aims to:

  • identify the roles and development needs of startups and SMEs in green electrification value chains
  • clarify innovation pathways from research to piloting and commercialization
  • introduce international best practices to support regional ecosystem development
  • develop a regional roadmap to guide the long-term development of the green electrification innovation ecosystem in South Karelia
