Two new English-language programmes

Two new English-language master’s programmes are included in this application round: in the Master’s Programme in Software Engineering, students gain expertise in software and digital service design and development, and in the Master’s Programme in Responsible Information Systems Development, they learn to develop information systems responsibly. Both programmes take place on campus in Lappeenranta.

LUT graduates are able to take sustainability impacts into consideration in their work. Sustainable software development is needed because the increased use of digital devices and software solutions threatens to double the carbon dioxide emissions of the software industry. On the other hand, information and communication technology can support sustainability efforts in other fields in a significant way.
