Language Test Results

General Information

Your language test result has to be valid on the date of submitting your application form. If not, you have to take a new language test as you will not be eligible to apply with an expired language test result.

All the language test results accepted by LUT University are valid for two years from the date of taking the test. Please note the different methods required for submitting your language test result.

Language Certificates provided by home university etc. are not accepted.
 

Accepted Language Tests

IELTS Academic

When requesting the IELTS test centre to forward your language test results to us, please indicate Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT) as the receiver or our test result. We accept electronic test scores only, when they are made available to LUT University online by the test organiser. Please note that TRF links sent by e-mail will not be accepted.

Please also e-mail us a copy for your IELTS score report. 

TOEFL

When requesting the TOEFL Test Centre to forward your results to LUT University, please fill in the LUT University Institution Code 0496 in the field 'Score Report Recipient'. The Testing Centre must send the original score sheet directly to LUT Admissions Services or, make the electronic score result available to us.

Please also e-mail us a copy for your TOEFL score report.

PTE Academic

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic is a paperless, computer-based test. 

Once you receive your test score, submit it to LUT University from your PTE account. Choose Finland as the ‘Country', ‘Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology' as the ‘Institution' and click ‘Search'. Then select LUT University as the recipient for your test result and confirm your order.

Please e-mail your test result to LUT Admissions Services together with your other application documents. Remember to include your

  • Candidate's ID (3 letters and 6 numbers)
  • Secret code (4 numbers) 

The codes can be found on your Confirmation of Entry and Timetable document. If you do not have the codes, please contact Cambridge English Qualifications as your result can only be verified at LUT University with the codes you send us.
