Laura Olkkonen does research in the intersection of CSR communication and business in society. In recent years, she has focused especially on corporate activism, which refers to companies' public stances on divisive socio-political topics. She has received the Academy of Finland Postdoctoral Researcher grant (2020) and she is recognized as a Docent in the University of Jyväskylä. She leads the Sustainable Business Team at LUT Business School.
