Vesa Ruuskanen was born in Imatra, Finland, in 1983. He received the M.Sc. and D.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), Lappeenranta, Finland, in 2007 and 2011, respectively.He is currently an Associate Professor at LUT GREENRENEW research platform. He has background in electrical machines and drives and he has been studying the effect of power supply on performance of water electrolysis since 2015. He has participated SOLETAIR - fuel from air (2017) and Neo-Carbon Food - food from air (2019) demonstrations.
Currently he is a project manager in Neo-Carbon Materials project heading towards direct conversion of CO2 to solid carbon products.
