Feasibility Study for a PtX Project Company and Ecosystem Developent in South Karelia

The project explores the potential for establishing a regional Power-to-X (PtX) project company in South Karelia. It maps the current state of the PtX ecosystem, analyzes the value chain, and identifies key actors, opportunities, and barriers. The study also examines funding options and provides recommendations for sustainable ecosystem development supporting the green transition and renewable energy deployment.

Goals

The project aims to assess the current state and development needs of the Power-to-X (PtX) ecosystem in South Karelia, analyze the value chain’s opportunities and risks, and prepare recommendations for establishing a regional PtX project company. In addition, the goal is to identify key actors, networks, and funding opportunities, and create a new operating model that supports the long-term development of the PtX ecosystem, collaboration, and the green transition.
