Biography

Pia Lindh (M’04, S’17) received her M.Sc. degree in Energy Technology in 1998 and her D.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering (Technology) in 2004 from Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), Finland. She is Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, LUT University, where she is engaged in research and teaching in electrical machines, electric drives, thermal management and electrification. Her research focuses on high-performance electrical machines, cooling technologies, electric transportation and charging systems. She has extensive experience in leading and coordinating multidisciplinary research projects, developing competitive research proposals and building collaboration with industry and international universities. She has coordinated several doctoral networks, currently an EU MSCA Doctoral Network involving six universities and six industry partners. She has led several research projects funded by the Research Council of Finland, Business Finland and industry.
