Language Test Result in English

  • A language test result in English with at least the minimum score required
    • TOEFL iBT 80 or PBT 550
    • IELTS Academic 6.0
    • PTE Academic 54
    • C1 Advanced by Cambridge English Qualifications Grade C
    • C2 Proficiency by Cambridge English Qualifications Grade C

Validity for a Language Test Result

Your language test result has to be valid at least on the first day of the application period i.e. on December 3, 2018. All the language test results accepted by LUT are valid for two years from the date of taking the test.

  • Letter of Motivation (one page A4/Letter)
    Why do you wish to enter this programme?
    Please explain and convince us why you particularly wish to study at the GMIT Programme; how you have carefully thought through your career options - that your strong points are related to this particular programme (please give examples) and how completing this programme would support your career plans in the future.

    The document does not have to be officially certified.

  • Letter of Recommendation
    Letter of Recommendation is also given points in the selection process.
    No special format for the letter defined by the programme.
    Please enclose the letter to your application; no direct mailing or e-mailing to LUT.

Other Documents

  • Copy of your passport (ID page)
    Or, a copy of your official ID card indicating the nationality
    No official certification required.
  • Copy of your Finnish Residence Permit Card
    For the ones already residing in Finland and having one .  
    No official certification required.
  • Official Statement for Grading Scale (when applicable)
    If there is no official website to be indicated on the application form to verify the grading scale, the information must be included in the Transcript of Records.
