Educational Documents

You may have to upload additional educational documents under certain circumstances for example:

  • Degree Certificate for your Master's Degree
    + an official translation in English, Finnish or Swedish (when required)
    If proving your proficiency in English with another degree apart from the one you are applying with.
  • Transcript of Records for another degree or for additional university level studies (incl. Universities of Applied Sciences)
    +
    an official translation in English, Finnish or Swedish (when required)
    If proving your proficiency in English with another degree apart from the one you are applying with.

Language Test Result in English
When required

One of the following language tests in English with at least the minimum score mentioned is required from you for proving your proficiency in English:

A Language Certificate issued by your home university or any other institution or organisation is not accepted.

*IELTS Indicator is offered if there is no possibility to take the normal test due to COVID-19 situation.

When is a Language Test Result not Required?

A language test result is not required, if you have completed a degree of higher education

  • in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or the United States of America
  • in Finnish or Swedish in a Finnish University or a Finnish University of Applied Sciences

  • Letter of Motivation (one page A4/Letter)
    Why do you wish to enter this programme?
    Please explain and convince us why you particularly wish to study at the GMIT Programme; how you have carefully thought through your career options - that your strong points are related to this particular programme (please give examples) and how completing this programme would support your career plans in the future.
    No official certification required.

     
  • Letter of Recommendation
    Letter of Recommendation is also given points in the selection process.
    No special format for the letter defined by the programme.
    Please enclose the letter to your application; no direct mailing or e-mailing to LUT University.

Other Documents

  • Copy of your passport (ID page)
    Or, a copy of your official ID card indicating the nationality
    No official certification required.
  • Copy of your Finnish Residence Permit Card
    For the ones already residing in Finland and having one .  
    No official certification required.
  • Official Statement for Grading Scale (when applicable)
    If there is no official website to be indicated on the application form to verify the grading scale, the information must be included in the Transcript of Records.
