Searching for information

LUT Academic Library is located in Lappeenranta and Lahti, and its collections are available to everyone. Print materials can be borrowed by registering as a customer.

You can search the LUT Academic Library Lappeenranta's collection in Wilma Finna and the collection in Lahti can be found in Masto-Fnna. Electronic materials can be accessed by customers, subject to the terms and conditions of the licence. The students and staff of LUT, Saimia and LAMK can use e-materials licenced to their organisation.

In Lappeenranta library customers can ask the library staff for access to the electronic materials of LUT or Saimia via Finna Search Services. The collection includes Finnish and international databases, electronic journals and titles in a range of subjects.

We offer a collection of guides in LibGuides (LUT & Saimia) and ResearchKit/LibGuides (LAMK).


We offer advice and guidance free of charge for our customers. Information retrieval services are subject to a fee, please check the price list.

Information services in Lappeenranta 

Customers can access the library's online databases independently, and assistance is available from the information service, if required. The information service staff advises customers on how to search for information and performs information searches in accordance with licence agreements.

The information specialist can be contacted by email, phone or chat. You can also book a 30-minute information searching guidance using the web form. The guidance session can be held in the library or online.
