Energy technology refers to technology and systems needed in the production, transfer, distribution and use of energy. The key issues are energy efficiency and environmental friendliness.
Energy technology studies at LUT are the most wide-ranging in the field in Finland, including a unique opportunity to study nuclear engineering. In addition to in-depth technological know-how, the Degree Programme in Energy Technology aims to provide students with extensive knowledge in different fields of the energy industry.
LUT's Bachelor's and Master's Degree programmes in Energy Technology are internationally accredited degree programmes. Both programmes were awarded the EUR-ACE and ASIIN quality labels in 2012. The EUR-ACE and ASIIN quality labels are a guarantee of high quality, international approval and continuous development, awarded to technical and scientific degree programmes.
Many Finnish engineers in the energy industry have obtained their Master's degree or doctorate from LUT.
