We are pleased to invite you to the Eighth Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees at the Lappeenranta–Lahti University of Technology LUT on 23 May 2026 in Lappeenranta.
In addition to conferring degrees on new doctoral graduates, the university will award honorary doctorates. An honorary doctorate is a title awarded by the university as a tribute to exceptionally accomplished individuals for outstanding achievements in science and the promotion of LUT University's activities and objectives. The new doctoral graduates, in turn, have proven their expertise in rigorous research through their dissertations and have therefore earned this celebration.
Those who obtain their doctorate no later than in the graduation ceremony in December 2025 may take part.
