Kaisa Pekkala

Kaisa Pekkala (PhD) is a University Lecturer and Head of the Degree Programme in Communication Sciences. Her research investigates new forms of communicative work and digital inclusion. Before academia, she worked for more than 15 years in various communications management positions in global corporations (KONE Corporation and Stora Enso). Throughout her career, she has specialized in digital media and strategic communication. Kaisa has published in journals such as Human Resource Management Journal, European Management Journal, Leadership, Corporate Communications, Employee Relations, and European Management Review. Kaisa is a member of the ProComma Academic and Prologi editorial boards and chairs the Council of Ethics for Communication in Finland (www.ven.fi).
