FullCell develops next-generation, fully cellulose-based, plastic-free, and recyclable coating and film solutions to replace fossil-based packaging materials. The project investigates cellulose dissolution and regeneration technologies (BioCelsol and Lyocell), the functional barrier properties of the materials, and their industrial manufacturability and convertibility. The aim is to establish a national value chain for the commercialization of sustainable fibre-based materials and to increase export opportunities.

Goals

The objective of FullCell is to develop fully cellulose-based, plastic-free, and recyclable coating and film solutions, and to create an industrially scalable technology for the production of sustainable packaging materials.
