Selection Process

Admission for the programme is organised in two admission groups.

Group I  Applying With a SAT Test

In admission group I the applicants are ranked based on their scores in the obligatory SAT Test.

Evidence Based Reading and Writing:
Reading Test, 500
Writing and Language Test, 500
Math, 500

Applicants are ranked based on the highest total points achieved in the SAT Test.

In case of applicants ranked with the same total points, all the applicants having achieved the minimum required total points will be admitted.

Any updates or preliminary information on your application status will not be given during the application process.

Group II  Applying Without a SAT Test

In admission group II applicants are ranked in the order of the highest points achieved based on the scores completed in the degree Finnish Matriculation Examinination, International Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate or Reifeprüfung.

In case of there are applicants with the same points, the one having a higher grade in Mathematics will be admitted.

Initial Admission Score

The Initial Admission Score is calculated based on the grades achieved in the Finnish Matriculation Examination, International Baccalaureate, European Baccalaureate, or Reifeprüfung.

Applicants who have completed multiple examinations in the same subject (such as Advanced Level Mathematics and Basic Level Mathematics) will be evaluated on whichever of the two is the most favourable to the applicant.

When calculating the Initial Admission Score, five subjects that give the applicant the highest possible Initial Admission Score will be selected from the table below. Points may be awarded either for the old or new Matriculation Examination in Sciences and Humanities, not both. The maximum Initial Admission Score is 26.

When calculating the Initial Admission Score, the grades of International Baccalaureate (IB), European Baccalaureate (EB), and Reifeprüfung (RP) will be converted according to the table below.
