I am currently working in the Mechanics of Advanced Composites Laboratory led by Professor Humberto, where my research focuses on the fracture behaviour and stress analysis of FGMs using couple stress theory. My work aims to advance the understanding of microstructural effects and scale-dependent phenomena in the failure and deformation of advanced composite and graded materials. My broader research interests include fracture mechanics, stress analysis of cracked orthotropic composites, and the interaction among multiple cracks under thermo-mechanical loading conditions. I am particularly inclined toward employing the FEM techniques to analyse and simulate the complex stress and displacement fields near crack tips and interfaces. In my research work so far, I have implemented semi-analytical modeling techniques and integral equation-based methods to compute key fracture parameters such as stress intensity factors, crack opening displacements, and heat flux parameters for various crack problems. These approaches enable accurate and computationally efficient analysis of crack behaviour in orthotropic media.
