The new "From Alumni to Alumni" events offer a moment for professional development through peer learning. These concise and relaxed sessions provide a chance to share best practices and experiences related to the theme of the day, as well as to discuss effective solutions together.
The first session will explore whether emotions have a place in professional world. This question is considered from both sides of the debate in work-life discussions. What does research tell us about emotions in working life? Whatever is your own opinion, now is your chance to learn what science and research tell us about the role and importance of emotions in organizations.
Mirva Puranen, Knowledge Management alumna and service manager at YTK
The conversation is led by our alumna Mirva Puranen, who graduated from the Master's Program in Knowledge Management in 2021.
She wrote her thesis, which was also successful in the year's best HR graduate competition, about managing emotions in teams using emotional data. Her day job is to build services for members of Finland's largest unemployment fund. As a side hustle, she is focusing on emotion management and emotional leadership, and gives inspiring speeches about leading emotions in working life.
Join us to discuss about the topic on Tuesday 24 September, from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
The event will be held virtually and in Finnish. Register for the event here.
