Lobna Hassan is interested in topics related to games and emerging technologies. She leads research on games, game accessibility, gamification, esports, VR, and social media cultures. The overall research questions she investigates revolve around how technologies, as they emerge and evolve, can serve humanity, improve quality of life, and that no one in society is left behind or denied access to such technologies on any grounds. Naturally, this research is multidisciplinary, and connects to many fields of enquiry, such as health, wellbeing, education, cultural differences, aging, technology design, geopolitics and much more.
