LUT University offers many types of study opportunities until 31 July 2026 for people fleeing the war in Ukraine. The study opportunities are available to those who have been granted temporary protection by the Finnish Immigration Service.

You can register to open university studies or apply for the right to complete non-degree studies, in which the quota reserved for people fleeing the war in Ukraine is 60 places at LUT. In addition, you can apply to degree programmes during ongoing and future admission periods.

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are open for all - for example, local residents, alumni, and people in working life. There are several online climate action courses free of charge.

Those who have fled Ukraine and have received temporary protection in Finland and a place to study at a LUT degree programme will receive a 100 percent tuition fee waiver for tuition fees in the academic year 2024–2025 and 2025-2026 on humanitarian grounds. The waiver applies to Bachelor's and Master's programmes at LUT.
