Having completed a Master of Science Degree in Economics and/or Business Administration or equivalent at the time of applying or, completing it before starting the LUT Master's studies makes you ineligible to apply.

1. Previous degree completed: Tradenomi (AMK)
   You must apply with the degree Tradenomi (AMK)
    
2. Previous degree completed: Bachelor's Degree (AMK) in a field other than Business Administration
   You must apply with the previous Bachelor's Degree (AMK)
   > Copy for the Degree Certificate for Tradenomi (YAMK) to be included in the application documents for getting exempted from taking a GMAT Exam or GRE General Test.
    

Bachelor's Degree in a field other than Business Administration

Completed in a University

• A minimum of 24 ECTS credits of studies completed in Business Administration required.

Having completed a Master's Degree in a field other than Economics and Business Administration still makes you eligible to apply, but only when applying with the Bachelor's Degree.
 

Bachelor's Degree in a field other than Business Administration

Completed in a University of Applied Sciences

• A minimum of 24 ECTS credits of studies completed in Business Administration required.
• GMAT Exam or GRE General Test with minimum required score/s required.

Having completed a Master's Degree in a field other than Business Administration still makes you eligible to apply, but only when applying with the Bachelor's Degree.
 

The Admissions Committee for the programme always reserves a right to decide whether the degree and the completed studies provide the applicant with eligibility to apply to the programme.

Bachelor of Science in Economics and/or Business Administration

Completed in a university - all countries
Including equivalent degrees with different titles but meeting with the following requirements included.

• A minimum of 80 ECTS credits of studies in Business Administration must be included.
• An equivalent degree to a corresponding Finnish Bachelor of Science Degree by number of academic years and ECTS credits.
• Degree providing you with eligibility to apply to university level Master's studies in the country where the degree was awarded in.

Having completed a Master's Degree in Economics and/or Business Administration or equivalent at the time of applying or, completing it before starting the LUT studies makes you ineligible to apply.
 

Bachelor of Business Administration

Completed in a University of Applied Sciences - EU/EEA countries

• A minimum of 80 ECTS credits of studies in Business Administration must be included.
• An equivalent degree to a corresponding Finnish Bachelor of Science Degree by number of academic years and ECTS credits.
• Degree providing you with eligibility to apply to university level Master's studies in the country where the degree was awarded in.

Having completed a Master's Degree in Business Administration still makes you eligible to apply, but only when applying with a Bachelor's Degree.
 

Bachelor's Degree in a field other than Business Administration

Completed in a University - All countries

• A minimum of 24 ECTS credits of studies completed in Business Administration required.
• GMAT Exam or GRE General Test  with minimum score/s required.

Having completed a Master's Degree still makes you eligible to apply, but only when applying with the Bachelor's Degree.
 

Requirements for the degree-awarding university

The university having awarded you the degree you are applying with must be

• An official and recognized part of the national education system
• Listed on the World Higher Education Database WHED by International Association of Universities
   

The Admissions Committee for the programme always reserves a right to decide whether the degree and the completed studies provide the applicant with eligibility to apply to the programme.

To possibly get admitted, you must have completed

• a minimum of 24 ECTS credits of studies completed in Business Administration

You must list your courses in English on your application form - also when they have been completed in Finnish - plus, upload an official Transcript of Records in English for your studies.

Minimum requirements for the completed studies

Academic Success, max. 8.75 points

Arithmetic GPA for the degree you must apply with:

• 3.00 - 3.74 = 5.25 points 
• 3.75 - 5.00 = 8.75 points

You must indicate your GPA on your application form with two decimals or, calculate it if not indicated in the Degree Certificate or Transcript of Records.

The GPA considered in the LUT selection process is an arithmetic average of all individual study records included in the degree and graded with numbers, including the Final Thesis and excluding the grades for all the fails.

In case of your previous degree not having been evaluated on a 5-point scale, your GPA will be converted to a 5-point grading scale by the Admission Committee for the programme during the evaluation process.

NOTE: You must provide a link on your application form to verify the grading scale. If not able to do that and the grading scale not being explained in either the Degree Certificate or Transcript of Records, an additional, officially certified document issued by the degree-awarding university is required.

Previous Relevant Studies, max. 10 points

Studies in Mathematics, Information Technology, Information Processing, Statistics, Operations Research and Management Science relevant to the programme:

• 0-24   ECTS credits = 0 points
• 25-34 ECTS credits = 3 points
• 35-50 ECTS credits = 5 points
• 51-70 ECTS credits = 7 points
• 71-     ECTS credits = 10 points

Minimum requirements for the completed studies

You are responsible for converting, calculating and presenting the required and completed studies in ECTS credits on your application form listed by disciplines and courses according to the following:

• 1 ECTS credit = a workload of 27 hours (lectures, assignments etc.)

NOTE: You must list your courses in English on your application form - also whenever they have been completed in Finnish - plus, upload an official Transcript of Records in English for your studies.

On the second stage of the admissions process, a limited number of applicants are invited to an interview in the order of the highest total points scored in the preliminary selection.

The following elements will be evaluated in the interview, which is to be completed through a video interview:

• Competencies related to the programme gained in practice
