Biography

Deepak Upadhyay works on the design and implementation of power converters and control systems for high-speed electrical drives at the Laboratory of Electrical Drives, LUT University, Finland. He received his B.E. degree from the University of Pune, India, and his master’s degree in Power Systems and Drives from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He previously worked as a Research Assistant at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, where his research focused on multilevel converters. Before that, he served as a Junior Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales, Australia, working on hardware-in-the-loop-based design and optimal control of novel power converters for electric-vehicle applications. His research interests include high-power and high-speed electrical drives, photovoltaic distributed-energy systems, multilevel converters, and advanced control of power-electronic converters.
