Studies in Thermodynamics
The Thermodynamic Laboratory provides undergraduate and post-graduate teaching in thermodynamics as well as thermal and fluid technical science.
The laboratory has actively developed its teaching and has been involved in virtual university projects. The projects have been aimed at developing an e-learning environment for thermodynamics. The environment aims to support learning by making distance learning easier and making it possible for post-graduate students working in industry to participate in post-graduate courses.
The aim of the courses is to teach the basic concepts of energy technology, the general laws and principles for technical processes, and computational design.
The courses provide basic information that the student will be able to utilise in other courses in the Energy and Environmental Technology departments. The courses focus on technical methods of computation and the application of theoretical knowledge to a variety of practical problems.
