Biography

I am a junior researcher at the Department of Software Engineering, Lahti campus. My research focuses on the multifaceted challenges of software business – especially skills, labour shortage challenges, and the promotion of gender equality in technology sectors. Collaborating with companies and the Lahti region is important to me, and you can meet me, for example, at our Lahti Software Meetups. Important themes for me include equality, diversity, and justice, often from a technological perspective. My research covers topics such as cloud-based integration platforms, location-based games, the paradox of the IT skill shortage, the underrepresentation of women in the software industry, and the role of ethics in digital ecosystems.

My background is in social policy, and I'm happy that I have had the possibility to combine my diverse background in my research in this department.
