I’m proudly a LUT alumnus with master’s in Industrial Engineering. In my very first job I actually did practice what I had studied, improving logistics processes at a Nokia distribution center. Things took a different turn when a fellow LUT alumnus called and asked to join a B2B ecommerce program called Nokia Online. The most fun initiative ever and the best school in what to do and what to avoid in terms of project management, digital product development, organizational change management, and building winning teams – including spending weekends and nights at the office eating free pizza.

Equipped with that wealth of knowledge I eventually switched Europe to US, Nokia to Vodafone and later to Mondelez. Currently I’m responsible for the digital technology portfolio at Heineken USA - which is an upgrade since instead of pizza we get free beer.

Happy to share things I’ve learned on my way from Lappeenranta to New York with you!
